Nokia 8 in Indonesia, Claim Highest Mobile Phone



Nokia finally launched its newest model in Indonesia namely Nokia 8. HMD Global, as the official license holder, calling Nokia 8 as the latest in terms of technology than other models.

Specifically, the Nokia 8 is powered by Snapdragon 835 cipsets commonly found on flagship phones, such as Google Pixel 2 (Rp11 million) and 2 XL (Rp15 million), Galaxy 8 (Rp10 million), 8+ (Rp11.9 million) , Note 8 (Rp13 million).

This chipset will also reportedly be used to be the brain of a Windows 10-based laptop with Snapdragon processor.

For the storage space this phone puts 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB internal storage space, plus an external storage microSD that can store up to 256 GB.

In terms of appearance, Nokia 8 has a 5.3-inch screen size IPS LCD technology. To protect it, Nokia equip 2.5D Gorilla Glass 5 and IP54 to dispel water splash.

As for the camera, Nokia 8 has a main camera with dual lens: one 13 MP lens that is tasked to capture color and stabilize camera and one 13 MP lens to capture monochrome images. It also comes with f / 2.0 and flash openings.

Then in the front camera, Nokia 8 has 13 MP resolution with f / 2.0 and flash openings.

As usual, Nokia uses Android as its operating system. In Nokia 8, they chose Android 7.1.1 Nougat and can be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo.

The phone with a 3090 mAh battery also has other mandatory features ranging from fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, NFC, and 3.5 mm headphone hole.

"We bring flagship experience, flagship specifications, at an affordable price," said Mark Trundle, Country Manager of HMD Global, interrupted a media conference in Jakarta on Tuesday (13/2).

Nokia 8 will be sold nationwide starting March 1, 2018 to come with a price of Rp6, 5 million. But this phone can be obtained more quickly through online channels at Lazada on 15-28 February 2018.
