IPhone X Sales Weaken

Financial services company KGI Securities claims iPhone X shipment is not as big as many believe. Therefore, KGI believes Apple will ship approximately 18 million units of iPhone X in the first quarter of 2018, well below the estimates of other analysts who estimate 20-30 million units.

According to KGI, Chinese consumers are taking longer to use their existing phones. In addition, the notch design on the side of the top screen of iPhone X is also called as one of the factors that make Chinese consumers do not intend to switch.

According to KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Chinese consumers prefer mobile phones with bigger screens, but notch designs make the screen look smaller. The consumers feel the notch design makes the iPhone 5.8 inch screen less than the maximum.
