Google Remove 60 App Games from Play Store Due to Pornography



Google recently removed 60 game apps from the Play Store. This removal is done after Check Point security firm finds a malicious bug showing pornographic ads in a games app that is mostly intended for children.

Some of them have been downloaded up to a million times. Among them is the game Night Survival Craft and McQueen Car Racing Game whose characters are inspired Disney Pixar movie character, Cars.

Check Point found out, the name of the evil bug is Adult Swine. They call, the bug is able to display pornographic ads and other inappropriate ads.

The goal is to trick users into installing fake security apps and inviting users to register premium services.

To the Financial Times, a Google spokesman said it had deleted the games app and made the developer's account no longer usable.

"And we will continue to remind anyone who installed the game, we are grateful to Check Point for helping us keep users safe," the unnamed spokesman said.

Just be aware, when the bug is installed in the smartphone, the bug is waiting for the user to open the device, and then the bug starts a harmful activity.

Suggest Users Install Fake Antivirus
 

The users have also left a review in the application, asking other users not to install games that infiltrated the malware.

"Do not install this app for your child, because there are lots of pornographic images in it," said a user who left comments about the game.

In addition to displaying pornographic images, the bug can also bring up a notification that calls the device has been exposed to the virus and suggest users install a fake antivirus application.

In fact, other ads deceive users into giving their phone numbers in order to win prizes. In fact, the user's phone number is used to register premium services without their knowledge.


Family Program on Google


Google actually has a security feature called Google Play Protect that will check the security of the application when it is installed on the smartphone.

In addition, Google Play Protect also performs periodic scans of installed harmful apps, then deletes them.

In a statement to The Verge, Google said it had a Family collection on the Google Play Store to help parents find apps whose content is age-appropriate.

Google also has a Family Link, a program for family security, which regulates which applications children can use and which do not.
