Apple Showcases First Headquarters in Indonesia



One of the world's leading technology companies, Apple, will soon be rolling out their first innovation center in Indonesia. Reportedly the event will be held on campus BINUS Alam Sutera, South Tangerang, Banten.

Reported that Apple will invest in Indonesia amounted to US $ 44 million or approximately Rp586 billion for a period of three years. Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation and Electronics Industry, I Gusti Putu Suryawirawan said the realization of investment is still 30 percent of the total promised.

Currently Apple established an innovation center in Serpong, precisely in Green Office Park 9, BSD City. In addition Apple plans to build two other research centers in Indonesia. With this research center, Apple will absorb 400 local workers and provide training and certification for students.

Apple's other goal in building this research center can not be separated from Apple's efforts to meet the requirements of the Level of Domestic Content (TKDN) 30 percent. This requirement is required to sell 4G phones in Indonesia.
